Brownstone Magazine is comin’.

In case you didn’t know by now from my numerous shameless plugs, I’m a guest blogger over at Brownstone, which caters to teen girls of color.  There’s a lot of great content over there & I’m delighted to be a part of the team.

Well, coming soon, Brownstone will roll out its magazine. [!!!]  If you’re in touch with teenage girls who may be interested in a magazine aimed at their needs & interests, be sure to let them know about Brownstone.  It’s growing & evolving; there are more awesome things to come.  Stay tuned!

More Brownngirl!

I should have told y’all about this a month ago; better late than never, yes?

I’ve been guest blogging on Brownstone Blog, which is aimed at reaching & representing young African-American girls between the ages of 13 and 18.  The blog will eventually take on the form of an online magazine with advice, news, fashion tips, and more for these girls.  I’m more than excited to be a part of it. I would have loved to have something like this when I was a teenager.

Well… there was no Internet like this in my teenage years, but you get what I’m saying.

Brownstone is not focused on the celeb gossip or slander that you get from the countless other websites.  It’s all about encouragement, inspiration, tips, and advice.  I think it’s a refreshing addition to the web, and definitely focused on providing a voice to these girls who are underserved & often misrepresented. [And I'm not just saying that because I write on it. ;) ]

The articles I’ve written so far were on April 12th ["Girls Will be Girls"], and May 21st ["Who are YOU?"].  Lots more to come! Please do check us out here.
